Overview GSoC 2022 is nearing its end and now it’s time to wrap things up. My task was to Improve the Timeline component of Pitivi and this is my status report. Work Report Fix a dot appearing when clicking on the timeline - !436 Pitivi uses a custom widget for showing the selected area while dragging & selecting. This Marquee rectangle gets drawn when the user performs a drag action. We only moved this rectangle to a new position when the user starts dragging....

Intro => Hey there! It’s been a month since I started working on Pitivi and here’s my progress. More precise audio waveform Pitivi now produces 5x more detailed waveforms for audio (MR not yet merged). These are the some snaps of before and after (top & bottom respectively). ep1: Reading Code Is Harder
Context When the GSoC results were announced what I thought was that I would be smashing my fingers on the keyboard and writing code here and there. But oh boy was I wrong! I have seen many memes about this but never thought the ratio of reading to writing code would be this huge. Most of the fixes for issues I had fixed were a oneliner.
